All tickets for Euro-2012 will be marked with name of the customer who bought the ticket – that is, tickets will bear names. Responsibility for the behaviour of the persons who will come to a stadium with named ticket will be borne by the person whose name is indicated on the ticket. After all, four tickets per person per match were sold. This is what tournament director Markiyan Lubkivskyi said in comments to the Information Centre Ukraine-2012.
He said that there will be no passport control at Euro-2012 matches, but stewards will have the right in certain situations to demand presentation of a document proving the identity of a person.

"There will be no mass checks at stadiums. On the other hand, there will be selective examination if a fan behaves suspiciously or inappropriately. The name stated on the Euro tickets means that this person will be responsible for the behaviour of relatives and friends to whom the tickets were given as a gift. Of course, the customer of the ticket is not required to hold these three friends by the hand, but they are recommended to bring identification. However, even if the surname on the ticket and the identification document do not match, if there are no serious violations the fans will be allowed into the arena. A serious reason for the check may be challenging behavior or when the ticket cannot be read directly by the bar code. That is, if a person has got through on a false ticket", Markiyan Lubkivskyi said.
A reminder that on 23 April the design of the ticket for matches at Euro-2012 was presented at the Olympic NSC. It will have six or seven degrees of protection and the basis of its design will be the logos of the coming championship. One of the security features is the name admission status of a ticket.
